Garmin has released yet another beta update for the Fenix 7 (currently $519.99 on Amazon – renewed), which is also available for other smartwatches such as the Enduro 2, Epix 2, and MARQ 2. For some reason, the company does not acknowledge Beta Version 17.14, which it released a few days ago, in its changelog for Beta Version 17.15, instead listing only the changes that Beta Version 17.15 makes from ‘v16.22’, the most recent stable update for the Fenix 7 series and its peers.
On the surface, Beta Version 17.15 includes sixteen modifications, which is comparable to the sixteen improvements that Garmin said it made in Beta Versions 17.12 and 17.14. After more examination, it appears that Beta Version 17.15 is missing nine of the modifications that Garmin added to Beta Version 17.12. Furthermore, with Beta Version 17.14, a number of the sixteen changelog lines made their appearance.
To the best of our knowledge, Beta Version 17.15 presents three enhancements in comparison to its predecessor. Garmin specifically states that it has fixed any crashes that can happen on the Daily Suggested Workout menus and the navigation page. Furthermore, a patch for “random shutdowns” that may have occasionally occurred “throughout the day” is mentioned in the changelog for Beta Version 17.15. Regretfully, Garmin has not provided any more information on this modification. Please refer to the forum article for instructions on installation.
