The TV S Mini LED series was introduced by Xiaomi in China. The new 4K model, which comes in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch sizes, is the next in the TV S Pro line, which debuted the previous year. The Mini LED panels on the regular and Pro TVs are the same, however the most recent model has less backlight partitions.
While the 65-inch TV S Pro has 896 partitions, the 55-in, 65-in, and 75-in TV S devices have 308, 392, and 512 partitions, respectively. In addition, the maximum brightness is 1,200 nits as opposed to the Pro’s 2,200 nits peak brightness. With 94% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and IMAX Enhanced, the models are otherwise fairly identical. The screen features a 120Hz MEMC refresh rate, a 240Hz gaming mode, and a refresh rate of 144Hz. VRR, support for AMD FreeSync Premium, and 4ms latency are further gaming features. HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 ports can be used to connect a console or other devices. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are available for wireless connections.
The TVs run on a quad-core A73 processor with 4+64GB storage and Xiaomi HyperOS. The OS brings features like smart home linkage, app-based controls and voice commands. Other features of the TVs include built-in speakers and Filmmaker Mode.
