In October of last year, Samsung released the Galaxy S23 FE, which came with a dubious hardware configuration. The Galaxy S24 FE, its successor, is anticipated to arrive with both Snapdragon and Exynos flavors, following in its footsteps. Samsung might introduce the Galaxy S24 FE ahead of schedule if a recent story is true.
According to TheElec (via @negativeonehero, @OreXDA on X), South Korean business Anapass has won a contract to provide the Galaxy S24 FE with its TED (Timing Controller Embedded Driver IC). The phone is scheduled for release “this summer,” which suggests it would debut with the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Tab S10, and other devices at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked presentation.
The Galaxy S24 FE will arrive just eight months after the Galaxy S23 FE and six months after the vanilla Galaxy S24. Then again, Samsung could just show off the smartphone at the event and launch it later in the year. The Galaxy S23 FE is what the now-cancelled Galaxy S22 FE would have been, and the Galaxy S24 FE will likely follow suit and use last-gen hardware to prevent it from undercutting its non-FE-branded sibling.
