Snapchat users will now be able to modify their messages, much like most of its messaging app counterparts. According to the business, the functionality will be available “soon” and would initially only be available to Snapchat+ subscribers.
Snapchat users will now have five minutes to modify their chats, including rephrasing messages and fixing errors. Edited messages will include a label stating that the text has been modified. Although the firm frequently adds highly desired additions to its subscription service first, it did not specify when the function may be made available to more of its customers. Snap said last week that 9 million people had signed up for its $3.99/month Snapchat+ service.
A few non-exclusive features are also being added to the app, such as Bitmoji costumes created by AI, redesigned emoji reactions for conversations, and the option to utilize the My AI assistant to create reminders. Additionally, Snap unveiled a new AI lens that turns users’ selfies into pictures with a 1990s theme. Just be careful not to focus too much on the wireless headphones that feature in a lot of the pictures.
