There are updates available for the Amazfit Cheetah Pro, Cheetah Round, and Cheetah Square smartwatches. The company has also published new firmware for the T-Rex Ultra and Falcon wearables at the same time. The release notes for all three products show a lot of similarities.
The only new feature for owners of Cheetah smartwatches with an Android phone is the ability to view image messages from WhatsApp. Other than that, the updates remain the same. Zepp Coach has been enhanced with guidance modes for steady-state running and walking, in addition to training scores for each workout. Real-time power output data can be shared with a running power meter connected via Bluetooth, and more data can be shared with thermometers such as the CORE Body Temperature Sensor. Loop timers have been added, and in fishing mode, you can record the number of casts and fish caught. Additionally, the VO2 Max algorithm now functions in Trail Run mode.
The latest updates for the Amazfit Cheetah series watches can be downloaded from the Zepp app. However, it is unclear whether all wearables have access to the firmware now or if this is a phased rollout. Amazfit has also recently released an update for the Balance smartwatch.
