Once again, Blink is aiming to disprove the notion that a $40 security camera cannot be very good. Today, the firm owned by Amazon is introducing the Blink Mini 2, packing a ton of additional smart functions into a comparatively small package. Better daytime and nighttime image quality, along with an integrated LED spotlight for color night vision, are the standout features.
In addition to smart notifications and person detection, the Mini 2 will be integrated with Blink’s own system-on-a-chip. A Blink subscription is necessary for those functions; for $3 per month, you may access live streaming, cloud recording, and 60 days of video storage. To use the Mini 2 outdoors, you’ll also need to pay a little extra ($49.98) for the camera and the required weatherproof power adapter.
The Blink Mini 2 is currently available in the US and in Canada.
