System Software 16.25 is now available for the diving computer modeled after the Garmin Descent Mk3 Watch. The wearable has a wide range of new features available in the public update, including bug repairs, activity enhancements, and diving tools.
There is a new Diver-to-Diver distance measure when in-dive, the process for pairing multiple tank pods has been optimized, and a new Moonphase watch face has been added. Other features align with the Q1 Fenix 7 update; these include the Jump Rope activity and, for multisports like triathlons, automatic transitions between activity types. On top of that, the wearable gets a Sleep Coach widget glance, support for Male audio prompts and access to a global database of 400m running tracks. Plus, the wearable now supports CIQ System7. Garmin has worked on various bug fixes for the update, resolving problems with the “Footpod Connected” banner, misleading lines when navigating and missing data from the primary race widget. A complete list of all features and bug fixes included in the update can be found below.
Garmin claims to have “fully released” system version 16.25 for the Descent Mk3, meaning that all units are able to find the update, in the forum post. With Garmin Connect or the Garmin Dive app, the software ought to be immediately updated on the devices.
