After completing development on iMazing 3, a native program for both MacOS and Windows, DigiDNA has created a backup software for iPhones and iPads that may be used as an alternative to Macs’ built-in tools or Apple‘s Windows software.
The program uses both cable and WLAN to arrange a backup of Apple’s mobile devices to a PC. To prevent unintentional deletion, separate backup sets might be kept and secured.
DigiDNA has made significant changes to the software in comparison to iMazing 2. A quick test indicates that the software is now faster, particularly for users who wish to extract data or apps by looking directly into the backup.
iMazing 3’s features also include a display of the battery capacity and battery cycles of the backed up devices. There are also fleet management tools for use in a company. However, the latter requires a separate license.
iMazing 3 is available from $39.99 for one device, with progressively cheaper options for two ($49.99), three ($59.99), five ($74.99) or 10 devices ($129.99). Family and business licenses are also available. Anyone who purchased a license after 20 October 2020 can use the new version free of charge.
Further information can be found in the release notes for MacOS and the release notes for Windows.
