Rumor has claimed that Nintendo will wait until the next year to release the eagerly anticipated Switch replacement. It is therefore necessary for the corporation to inform fans about the games that will be available on the current platform in the upcoming months. Nintendo plans to release a number of independent games to help fill in the calendar. The upcoming Indie World event, scheduled for April 17 at 10 AM ET, will reveal some of those.
According to Nintendo, the live will feature updates on games that will be available on the Switch this year and run for about 20 minutes. There aren’t many clues as to what to anticipate. But there might finally be some good news regarding Hollow Knight: Silksong.
I know, I know, we mention this game every single time one of these streams comes up (and with good reason as it’s one of the most hotly anticipated games right now). That said, there have been some hints that we’ll get an update on Team Cherry’s sequel soon. A page for it finally appeared on the Microsoft Store this month and it’s just been rated in Australia. So if the Indie World stream does not include a Silksong release date, perhaps we’ll finally find out what it is at the Xbox showcase in June. Keep your fingers crossed.
