The Nothing Phone 2 now has ChatGPT integration thanks to the newly released Nothing OS 2.5.5 version for Android smartphones. It also included several features, several bug fixes, and performance improvements. Currently, the Phone 1, the company’s original phone, is receiving the same upgrade.
As previously, ChatGPT integration is the standout feature of the Nothing Phone 1’s Nothing OS 2.5.5 release. New widgets that provide “fast and easy” access from the home screen of an Android phone are included with it. The Nothing X app also has a gesture feature that enables users to initiate audio chats.
In addition, the latest version adds a button to the screenshot and clipboard pop-up that allows users to quickly paste content into the ChatGPT app. Naturally, the AI chatbot app must be loaded on your Nothing Phone 1 in order for any of them to function.
Besides those, the Nothing OS 2.5.5 for Phone 1 brings new features, which include the ability to scroll through the pages on the home screen while holding apps. This aims to offer a more intuitive experience when you’re organizing the home screen. Another new addition that’s worth mentioning is the RAM booster. It promises to deliver an enhanced performance.
Speaking of performance, the new Nothing OS update for Phone 1 brings a handful of improvements and general fixes. But it seems that the company hasn’t put much emphasis on the camera, as the new update doesn’t bring the Ultra XDR support, which the Phone 2 (12/256 GB curr. $613.69 on Amazon) recently got.
