With one prime, three performance, and four efficiency cores, the Honor 100 is the world’s first smartphone with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, though it is still only available in China. Qualcomm unveiled the SoC in November of last year, and it is positioned between the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. It is fabricated on the 4 nm TSMC process. The Vivo V30 is the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor for international markets.
Besides being the first international smartphone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the vivo V30 is also the first global phone to feature the new Omnivision OV50E camera. It’s a 50 MP sensor with a size of 1/1.55-inch with OIS and is the primary camera on the back. The secondary camera is a 50 MP ultrawide with autofocus.
On the front, the V30 houses a 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus. It sits in a centered punch hole of the 6.78-inch AMOLED screen. Speaking of the display, it’s a 1260p panel with 2800 nits of peak brightness rating, curved edges, and HDR10+ support. There’s a fingerprint scanner underneath the screen.
In terms of the battery, the vivo V30 has a 5000 mAh cell with support for the 80W FlashCharge. Other highlights of the phone include Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 on top, up to 12 GB of RAM, and a max storage capacity of 512 GB. Pricing details are yet to be confirmed, but the device will be available in more than 30 regions.
